OCT Stratus coherence tomography
Optical coherence tomography OCT Stratus is a modern tomographic imaging method of the retinal structure, allowing examined tissue’s optical biopsy for diabetic retinopathy, aged-related macular degeneration, macular hole, cystoid macular edema, central serous choroidal retinopathy and glaucoma cases.
OCT Stratus is one of the optical coherence tomography systems that Aktis ophthalmological center (eye laser center) features. This specific device provides real-time, cross-sectional images and quantitative analysis of retinal sections for diagnosis optimization and imaging of retinal diseases.
With Stratus OCT sophisticated GPA software, optic nerve fiber thickness variation (RNFL thickness) identification and monitoring, nerve fiber layer (RNFL) and optic nerve evaluation for glaucoma lesions possibilities, retina status assessment before cataract surgery (phacoemulsification) and visual acuity deterioration retinal causes monitoring are also achieved.
