An extremely intense ruddiness (bleeding \/ abruption) of a small blood vessel under the conjunctiva is called subconjunctival hemorrhage, also known as hyposphagma. Hyposphagma due to its nasty appearance frightens almost every patient, but it is not in able to affect vision. Most times this condition appears suddenly, e.g. after intense coughing, heavy lifting, strenuous physical exercise or vomiting.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/aktis.com.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/hyposphagma_aktis1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"hyposphagma_aktis1\" alt=\"\u03a5\u03c0\u03cc\u03c3\u03c6\u03b1\u03b3\u03bc\u03b1 \u03ba\u03b1\u03b9 \u03b1\u03bd\u03c4\u03b9\u03bc\u03b5\u03c4\u03ce\u03c0\u03b9\u03c3\u03b7\" src=\"https:\/\/aktis.com.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/hyposphagma_aktis1.jpg\" width=\"322\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/aktis.com.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/hyposphagma_aktis2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"hyposphagma_aktis2\" alt=\"\u03a5\u03c0\u03cc\u03c3\u03c6\u03b1\u03b3\u03bc\u03b1 \u03ba\u03b1\u03b9 \u03b1\u03bd\u03c4\u03b9\u03bc\u03b5\u03c4\u03ce\u03c0\u03b9\u03c3\u03b7\" src=\"https:\/\/aktis.com.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/hyposphagma_aktis2.jpg\" width=\"322\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Treatment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hyposphagma does not need treatment. Although visually is a frightening ophthalmic condition, there is not need for great concern. Usually, after 3 weeks it disappears (absorbed).
